Lucy vs the skunk

Here's the email from Lucy's family:

Tristan wanted to send these pictures he took of Lucy. He also wanted to let you know that Lucy had her first (and hopefully only) run in with a skunk the other day. Unfortunately, the skunk came out the victor. Tristan tried to take some pictures of Jay and I giving Lucy a tomato bath, but Lucy kept running and rolling to much. It didn't help that Tristan was laughing at some of the maneuvers she was doing to get the scent off.

Axel and Gracie came over to play with Reggie and Lizzy yesterday. Unfortunately, those pictures, from my cellphone, didn't turn out very well. Its hard to photograph four dogs, all in motion! The dogs had fun, the humans had beer (and rootbeer).

Libby's dad is a deputy sheriff in MN...she seems to think she's a police officer, too!

Lucy the wonder-dog

Lucy greeted me with a courageous bark, protecting her home. But once I called her name, she came running happily and jumped right up on me. With no one home to protect, she just wanted to be loved up. Her buddy, George Billy was sleeping in the sun and didn't want to be bothered.

The middle picture shown in this entry is Lizzy (the mom). Lucy is her clone!!

Charlie all grown up

My little "Moose" has grown into a handsome guy named Charlie. His friend at the dog park, Keena, belongs to one of my coworkers, Mark, and his wife, Jill.

Later this week, Reggie will have a chance to play with Charlie at the dog park, too. I can't wait to see the boys together. Once Reggie is all worn out, we'll go to see my dad at the Masonic Home...Reggie is a favorite visitor!

Libby in the snow

Sorry, these photos fell through the cracks of my mind a month ago. Libby loved the snow we got on March 1st. She helped her owner with the finish carpentry in their new bathroom too. Typical lab...her nose into everything.

Axel and Gracie come over to play!

Axel and Gracie came over to play last night. Their owners came along for beer and roast beef! The four dogs did very well together, Lizzy was even tolerant of the "intruders." Axel is the darker red with the light blue collar. By the end of the evening, Lizzy needed a nap.

Axel's birthday present

Axel got a little SISTER for his birthday! Nothing better than a build-in playmate even if she does steal his toys! I hope Gracie makes a smooth transition into the family. And welcome to duo-doghood, the support group meets monthly.

Birthday pictures

Libby got a festive birthday hat, which she wasn't altogether too patient with. She did pose long enough for a couple pictures to be taken. A true Labrador, she's happy out eating the snow!
